Victoria Falls

Unique safari experience

The world’s largest waterfall and a sight like no other! A trip to Zimbabwe without a visit to the Victoria Falls, yet another World Heritage Site in Zimbabwe, is truly a wasted trip.

For an intimate view of the “Vic Falls”there is nothing better than an invigorating walk right to the edge of the falls – or better yet, a walk to the falls at sunrise. This is truly an awe-inspiring moment – seriously soul satisfying!

Dont forget to take your raincoat and dont expect to leave without being absolutely soaked.

Victoria Falls is regarded as the “adventure capital of Africa”, she provides for the brave and adventurous every step of the way: challenging white water rafting down the bubbling, Zambezi waters; bungee jumping off one of the highest bungee spots in the world (111m), abseiling, river boating, gorge swinging and the flying fox…

Victoria Falls Activities

Bungee Jump

Nothing beats the thrill of Bungee jumping off the Victoria Falls Bridge; thousands of people have enjoyed this complete adrenaline pumping sport!! Ankle and body harnesses joined to a rope are attached to you, and then you dive head first off the 111m high bridge towards the mighty Zambezi River down below.

White Water Rafting

A pure adventure, enjoy rafting down the Zambezi River below the majestic Victoria Falls. Experienced guides will take care of you whilst you go through rapid after rapid, and you will love your action packed day. At the end of which you will climb out of the Batoka Gorge where you are met with ice cold refreshments!

Flying Fox

Take a running jump into thin air over the chasm, soaring horizontally through the air over the turmoil of the Zambezi below. The gorge at this point is 200 meters wide and 120 meters deep. This is a great appetizer before you try the Zip Line and Gorge Swing. The Vic Falls Canopy Tour, Gorge Swing and Adventure Slides site is set high up on the spectacular cliffs of the Batoka Gorge

Tiger Fishing

Another attraction for keen fishermen is to come and try your hand at catching a fighting tiger fish on the upper or Lower Zambezi River.  You have more chances on the lower Zambezi. The best time of year is September to November, and there are plenty of well equipped camps to choose from along the river banks.

Flight of the Angels

An extremely popular activity in Victoria Falls is to fly over the falls in a helicopter which is known as the “Flight of the Angels”.The flight lasts approx 15 minutes, and gives you breathtaking and scenic views of the thunderous Victoria Falls.

Sunset cruise on the Ra-Ikane

The Ra-Ikane, the only one of it’s kind in Victoria Falls, is a small luxury cruise boat that is out-fitted to suggest, in exquisite detail, an ambiance of a bygone era. The vessel was built to replicate the “Ma-Robert” – Dr David Livingstone’s boat. This cruise boat is exclusive and personalised.

Sunset cruise on Zambezi Explorer

The Zambezi Explorer Cruise Company offers luxury Cruising experiences and Waterfront venues on the mighty Zambezi River above the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. The Zambezi Explorer Cruise Company has a fleet of four vessels offering a variety of experiences and cruises above the Victoria Falls.
